Category:  3100 Mixed Technique (Non-Professional – Small) 

Comments:       Foreground and sky attractively enhance printed panel.

                        Continuation in style of elements from panel into created areas is effectively handled and fun to explore.

                        Machine appliqué is handled seamlessly.

                        Use of surface design and embellishments, as well as quilted texture, contribute greatly.

                        Shapes of outside edges attractively enhance design.

                        Binding could more consistently applied.

                        Held for ribbon consideration in category.

Comments:       Color placement and piecing design create movement and draw the viewer to the central design.

                        Surface design and appliqué fabrics show attention to detail.

                        Considerate use of fabric in the border to complement the central design.

                        Additional quilting may further enhance the movement.

                        Neatly applied edge finish.

                        Care should be taken with machine quilt stitch length and tension.

                        Held for ribbon consideration in category.
